The VEX Robotics program is for students in the grades 5-8. The weekly program provides an opportunity for this age group to be exposed to Robotics. Teams of 2-4 students assemble pre-made parts to create a robot and use the robot they designed to complete specific tasks. For the VEX IQ program their competitions consist of a co-operative game that two teams work together to complete tasks on a 4 foot by 8 foot field.
The program typically runs from September to March. The build starts immediately and the competitions start in December and run until the end of February. It’s a great way to introduce young students the basics of design, construction and programming.
