The VEX Robotics program is for students in the grades 5-8. The weekly program provides an opportunity for this age group to be exposed to Robotics. Teams of 2-4 students assemble pre-made parts to create a robot and use the robot they designed to complete specific tasks. For the VEX IQ program their competitions consist of a co-operative game that two teams work together to complete tasks on a 4 foot by 8 foot field.
For the 2020 -2021 season the program will run from October to April. Due to Covid -19 the season competitions may include a virtual component and the competitions will be smaller.
It’s a great way for young students to learn the basics of design, construction and programming.
